Act 378 Cash Subsidy for adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Association of Blind Citizens Assistive Technology Fund Provides 50% of cost of assistive technology.

OCDD Family Subsidy For families of children with developmental disabilities.

Independent Living Centers Support individuals with disabilities to live interdependently.

Private Insurance. Check with your insurance company for specific coverage.

Louisiana's Medicaid Purchase Plan This program allows people with severe disabilities to work and keep or get Medicaid coverage.

Louisiana Medicaid (Health Services Financing) Provides funding for durable medical equipment.

Louisiana Medicaid Home and Community-Based Waivers Provide funding for assistive technology for people with disabilities and older people.

Medicare Pays for some durable medical equipment, and for some home repairs and modifications.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Provides financial assistance to purchase assistive technology for people with muscular dystrophy.

Multiple Sclerosis Society Provides financial assistance to acquire assistive technology.

Older Americans Act Provides funding for older people.

Louisiana Rehabilitation Services Provides funding for assistive technology for clients seeking employment and independent living services.

School Systems Provide funding for students who need assistive technology.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) Through its PASS Program funded by the Social Security Administration can provide funding for assistive technology. PASS is an SSI work incentive under which persons with disabilities can set aside income and/or resources to be used to achieve specific work goals, including the purchase of AT.

Louisiana Traumatic Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Provides funding for assistive technology for people with traumatic head and spinal cord injuries.

Veterans Administration Provides funding for assistive technology for veterans and dependents.

Worker's Compensation Insurance. Check with your worker's comp insurer for specific coverage.
