Get Involved with LATAN - Serve as a Regional Representative |
|
|
|
|
LATAN invites proactive people who use
Assistive Technology from all areas of
Louisiana, to serve as a regional
representative on LATAN's Advisory
Council.
Council members provide valuable input on all
facets of living with a disability or
age-related functional limitation. Advisory
Council members also receive
the benefit of becoming more familiar
with different AT devices and
services, meeting with people in policymaking
roles in our state, sharing and learning
from others who use AT, while
helping to focus the direction of the
programs and services of Louisiana's
recognized AT Act program.
To get involved,
please contact Jamie
Karam at (800)270-6185 (V/T) or
jkaram@latan.org.

Computer Techies Needed to Assist |
|
|
|
|
Do you know how to set up a computer? Do you
know
how to make minor adjustments or repairs to a
computer? Then, LATAN needs you!
Volunteers
across Louisiana are needed to assist
individuals with
disabilities and their family members with
setting up a
computer, installing software, doing minor
adjustments
or repairs, etc. A working computer is vital
to a person
with a disability for completing daily living
activities, to
using special assistive technology devices and
software for work or education, to
communicating with
friends and family members.
To become a LATAN Computer Volunteer or to
find out
more information on the Computer ReUse
Program,
