Structural Markup

Web pages on latan.org include 4 different areas:

  1. A header bar that includes the main navigation and links to a high contrast version of the site as well as font resize options. The font resizer sets a cookie on the client computer which expires after 365 days.
  2. A side bar with contextual sub-navigation,
  3. A main content area,
  4. A side bar (on selected pages) with additional information, such as events,
  5. A footer with supplemental links and contact information.

Skip Navigation

Users who use the keyboard instead of a mouse to navigate the site can access the main sections of each page by using the skip navigation feature that is revealed at the top of each page during keyboard navigation.
