Board Committee Community Member
- Provide input and perspectives on issues that the Board is working on, currently governance, fund development and public image
- Meetings usually monthly
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of LATAN's State Plan for the Assistive Technology Act Grant
- Quarterly meetings
Assistive Technology Loan Program Advisory Council Member
- Provide advice and recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding policies and procedures for the Loan Program.
- Review and monitor Loan Program activities.
- Promote the Loan Program in all areas of the state.
Office Volunteer Opportunities
- Clerical. Answer the phone, takes messages and help consumers (with a little training), enter consumer information into a database.
- Database entry. We have names, addresses, etc. that need to be entered and the database itself needs to be cleaned up - duplicate records merged into one, etc.
- Consumer calls. Make phone calls to consumers in our database to get email addresses and to update other information. " State agency/vendor calls. Make phone calls to agencies/provider/vendors in our database to get email addresses and to update other information.
- On an as needed basis a person who can help make copies, print documents and prepare mailouts.
- A person with website experience to update/maintain website, checking links, information, etc.
- Grant writer to review, edit and make suggestions on grant proposals, and to research potential grant sources.
