The Assistive Technology Device Demonstration Program provides an opportunity for individuals to become familiar with various types of Assistive Technology (AT) devices and to try out devices before purchase.
The Assistive Technology Device Loan Program provides individuals the opportunity to borrow a variety of AT devices for trial use prior to making a purchase, or during the time in which a device is being repaired, or while waiting for new equipment to be delivered.
The Assistive Technology Financial Loan Program provides reduced-interest, fixed-rate, extended-term loans to purchase AT equipment.
The AT Marketplace: Louisiana's Assistive Technology Classifieds is an online and telephone-accessible database of previously owned, affordable AT devices and equipment for sale or donation.
The Computer ReUse Program connects Louisiana consumers who have disabilities with used, rebuilt, low-cost computers shipped direct to their doors.
The Emergency Preparedness Program is a multi-pronged initiative that includes educating consumers and consumer support networks on preparedness for disasters, as well as collaborating with state agencies and other disability organizations so that consumers’ AT needs are met during evacuation, sheltering, and recovery situations.
Training Activities provide presentations, exhibits, and demonstrations about assistive technology devices and services.
Transition Services provide information about the AT needs of individuals moving from high school to post-secondary education or employment, or from an institutional setting to community living.
Technical Assistance Activities provide presentations, exhibits and demonstrations about AT devices and services.
Presentations provide opportunities for people to learn about AT and its benefits.
Information & Assistance Services provide information to individuals with disabilities, older persons, caregivers, family members and service providers about AT devices, services and funding resources.
Newsletters keep people informed and up-to-date on LATAN activities, consumer successes, new technology, and many other topics of interest to LATAN's consumers.
Collaboration & Coordination Activities focus on increased access to AT devices and services through interagency collaboration and policy advocacy.
